Slack notifications

Connect Slack and Creator Jam posts to a channel of your choice whenever someone adds a piece of content. Your whole team sees new videos go live without opening the app. The integration only posts. It never reads anything from Slack.

Each time content is added, Creator Jam posts a New Feature Published message with:

Field Example
Feature The content’s name, linked to the video or post
Creator Sam Builds Stuff
Date The publish date, such as Oct 14, 2026
Spend The content’s share of the deal, such as $2,500. When a deal covers several pieces of content, it reads “$1,250 of a $2,500 deal”

Content with no deal behind it, such as an organic mention, is posted without a spend line. A message goes out however the content was added, whether that’s the Add New Feature form or an AI assistant connected to Creator Jam.

You need a Slack Incoming Webhook, a private address that lets an app post to one Slack channel. Creating one in Slack may need a workspace admin’s approval.

The Slack Integration card before a webhook is saved.

  1. In Slack, create an app for your workspace (or open an existing one), turn on Incoming Webhooks, and add a new webhook for the channel you want, such as #creator-content.
  2. Copy the webhook URL. It starts with https://hooks.slack.com/.
  3. In Creator Jam, open Settings → Integrations and find the Slack Integration card.
  4. Paste the address into Incoming Webhook URL and click Save Webhook.

The card then shows Webhook connected. The next piece of content anyone adds is posted to that channel.

  • To post somewhere else, create a webhook for the new channel in Slack, then click Update URL on the card, paste it and click Update.
  • To stop posting, click Disconnect. Creator Jam forgets the webhook straight away.

Each team has one Slack webhook, so all notifications go to one channel.

  • “URL must start with https://hooks.slack.com/”: you’ve pasted something other than an Incoming Webhook URL, such as a link to the channel. Copy the webhook URL from your Slack app’s Incoming Webhooks page.
  • Nothing is posted: check that the webhook still exists in Slack and still points to a channel the app can post in. If someone removed it in Slack, save a new one.
