Reviewing creators your assistant found
Your AI assistant does the finding: it searches YouTube, sizes up each channel and shortlists the creators that fit, with a reason for each. The Discovered page is where your team reviews those shortlists, adds the good creators to Creator Jam and skips the rest. Every decision is saved, so the assistant won’t suggest the same creator again for a while, and anyone on the team can see what’s been looked at.
Finding creators needs your team’s YouTube API key and an assistant connected to Creator Jam. See Finding new YouTube creators and Claude and AI assistants (MCP).
Get a shortlist
Section titled “Get a shortlist”Ask your assistant to find creators and shortlist them. Saying how many and asking for a reason helps:
- “Find YouTube creators between 5,000 and 100,000 subscribers who review pour-over coffee gear, and shortlist the best ten with a reason for each.”
- “Shortlist anyone from that search with typical views over 3,000 on a list called Coffee – November.”
Shortlisted creators appear on Discovered, in the left sidebar under Channels.
Review a shortlist
Section titled “Review a shortlist”The Shortlisted tab lists every creator waiting for a decision, newest first. Use the list menu to look at one shortlist, or All shortlists to see them together.
Each row shows the creator’s subscribers, typical views (the median of their last 10 long-form videos, with Shorts below), uploads per month and last upload, any flags, and the assistant’s reason. Click a row to open the creator’s details:
- Why it’s here: the assistant’s reason, and the search that found them.
- Numbers: typical views for long-form videos and Shorts, views per subscriber, uploads per month, and when they last posted.
- Contact: emails from the channel and video descriptions, with a copy button, and the links in their channel description. YouTube’s “business email” button isn’t available to apps, so check the channel page if no email is listed.
- Your brand in their videos: recent videos that mention your brand terms.
- Recent videos: their latest uploads with views, with Shorts and premieres labelled.
- Team notes: anything the team should know. Click Save notes.
Then decide:
-
To work with a creator, click Add to Creator Jam. Choose a campaign under Start a conversation in to open a conversation at Reach out, or choose No conversation yet. You can also set a category.
-
To pass, click Skip.
-
To sort a shortlist, click Move to list… and pick another list or name a new one.
To decide on several creators at once, tick them and use the buttons above the table.
Adding creates a YouTube channel in Creator Jam with the creator’s name, link, subscribers, country and contact emails. A creator who’s already on your team is never added twice: they’re marked On your team instead.
The other tabs
Section titled “The other tabs”| Tab | What’s on it |
|---|---|
| Added | Creators you added, and when |
| Skipped | Creators you passed on. Skipped creators stay out of your assistant’s searches for 60 days. Use Back to shortlist if you change your mind |
| All seen | Every channel your assistant’s searches have turned up, whether or not it was shortlisted, with the search that found it. Use Add to a shortlist… to pick up one it left out |
Check a channel
Section titled “Check a channel”Someone sends you a creator? Paste their channel or video link into the box at the top and click Check a channel. You get the same details as for a shortlisted creator, and can add them or put them on a shortlist.
Hand back to your assistant
Section titled “Hand back to your assistant”Your assistant can read your decisions, so you can pick up where the team left off:
- “Which creators did we add from the Coffee – November list this week? Draft an outreach email for each.”
- “What’s still waiting for review?”
