What is Creator Jam?
Creator Jam is a CRM for Shopify brands that pay creators, mostly YouTubers, to feature their products. It keeps every creator deal in one place, from the first outreach email to the revenue a video is still driving months after it went live.
It’s built for the partnership and growth marketers who run those deals. You don’t need a spreadsheet of rates, a separate tracker for shipments, and a third tool to guess at ROI.
The lifecycle Creator Jam covers
Section titled “The lifecycle Creator Jam covers”Creator Jam follows a deal through four stages, and keeps measuring after the content is out.
- Manage deals. Every creator you talk to gets a conversation that moves through a pipeline: Reach out, Follow up, Negotiating, Finalize contract, Content expected, Published, or Dead. Campaigns group your outreach, and AI drafts outreach emails from your template. See Conversations and the pipeline.
- Close the deal and ship product. With Shopify connected, you create a draft order to send the creator product, track the shipment, and create the creator’s discount code and short link from the same screen. See Sending product to creators.
- Measure the content. When the video goes live, you add its link. Creator Jam pulls in the title and thumbnail, then tracks views, CPM and engagement. YouTube views update on their own. For other platforms, you enter view counts as you get them. See The Content page.
- Measure revenue and ROI. Creator Jam compares what you spent with the revenue attributed to each creator, from post-purchase surveys, discount code uses and affiliate orders. See The ROI page.
The measuring doesn’t stop at publish. Creator Jam reads the view count of every YouTube video once a day, however old the video is. When a shopper names a creator in a survey, the credit goes to that creator’s videos that were being watched around the time of the purchase, even if they went live months ago. A video that keeps selling keeps showing up in your numbers. See How attribution works.
The records and how they fit together
Section titled “The records and how they fit together”| Record | What it is | Lives under |
|---|---|---|
| Channel | A creator’s presence on one platform: a YouTube channel, a podcast, an Instagram or TikTok account, a blog. | Channels |
| Conversation | One deal with that creator, with its rate, expected publish date and stage. A channel can have many. | Conversations → Campaigns |
| Content | A published video, post or episode that features your brand. It belongs to a channel and usually to a conversation. | Content |
| Campaign | A group of conversations with its own outreach email template. | Conversations → Campaigns |
| Retainer | A recurring arrangement, such as two videos a month for six months. | Retainers |
Put together, a creator looks like this: the channel Sam Builds Stuff has a conversation in your “Spring launch” campaign for a $2,500 integration, and that conversation has the published video attached. If Sam agrees to a second video under the same deal, the conversation carries both, and the $2,500 is split between them. See One deal, several videos.
A retainer creates its conversations for you: one for each piece of content in each month of the term, all starting at Content expected. See Retainers.
You can add your own properties to channels and conversations, such as “Tier” or “Product sent”, with custom fields.
Two more records sit around the deal:
- Ad usage licenses track what you pay a creator to run their content as ads. Creator Jam keeps them apart from deal spend on purpose. See Ad usage licenses.
- Budget targets set how much you plan to spend on creators each month, so the Home page can show committed spend against them. See Budget and targets.
What each integration adds
Section titled “What each integration adds”Creator Jam works on its own, but each integration fills in part of the picture. Your team connects them once, on Settings → Integrations.
- Shopify: send product through draft orders, track shipments, and create discount codes and short links on your store. See Connecting Shopify.
- Fairing: credit post-purchase survey answers (“How did you hear about us?”) to your creators, and send your creators to Fairing’s answer lists. See Fairing.
- GoAffPro: show the orders, revenue and commission your affiliate creators drive. See GoAffPro.
- Northbeam: send a deal’s cost to Northbeam as influencer spend, so it sits beside your ad spend. See Northbeam.
- Claude and other AI assistants: ask questions about your creator data and make updates from a chat. See Claude and AI assistants (MCP).
Where to go next
Section titled “Where to go next”- Quick start: your first deal walks one deal from channel to published video.
- Signing in and your team covers getting your teammates in.
- Finding your way around tours every page.
