Northbeam and Lifetimely

Northbeam and Lifetimely measure marketing across all your channels, but neither knows what you pay creators. Creator Jam can send them your creator spend: one entry for each published deal, at its rate, on its publish date. Both syncs only send data out, and they only run when you click.

The Northbeam Integration card before it's set up. Both fields are required.

  1. Open Settings → Integrations and find the Northbeam Integration card.

  2. Enter your Northbeam API Key and Data Client ID. Both are required.

  3. Click Save Credentials.

The card then shows Credentials configured. Creator Jam doesn’t test the credentials when you save them. If they’re wrong, your first sync reports its entries as failed. To replace them, click Update Credentials. The card has no disconnect button.

  1. Open Conversations → Monthly Overview and choose the month and year at the top of the page.

  2. Click Sync to Northbeam. The button only appears once Northbeam is connected.

  3. Review the list. It shows every published deal in that month with its Channel, Publish Date, Rate and Status:

    • New: not in Northbeam yet.
    • Update: in Northbeam, but the rate or date has changed since.
    • Synced: already in Northbeam as it is now. It won’t be sent again.
  4. Click Sync followed by the number of entries, for example Sync 4 entries.

When it finishes, you’ll see a summary such as “Synced 4 entries to Northbeam — 3 new, 1 replaced.” Any entries Northbeam refused are counted as failed. If everything already matches, you’ll see “All conversations are already up to date in Northbeam.”

Open the deal’s conversation panel. Next to Rate there’s a small Sync button with the Northbeam logo. Click it, check the Confirm Sync to Northbeam summary, and click Confirm Sync.

Northbeam field What Creator Jam sends
Platform Influencer
Campaign name and ID The creator’s channel name, such as Sam Builds Stuff
Date The deal’s publish date
Spend The deal’s rate, in US dollars
Ad ID A fixed ID for the deal, so a later sync replaces its entry instead of adding a second one

A few rules decide what’s sent:

  • Only published deals with a rate above $0 and a publish date.
  • Each deal is sent once, in full. A deal that covers several videos goes out at its whole rate, on the deal’s publish date, which is its earliest video’s date.
  • Ad usage licenses aren’t included. A deal’s rate sometimes already includes usage rights, so adding licenses on top could count the same money twice. See Ad usage licenses.
  • Nothing is sent automatically. Sync each month after deals publish, and again whenever you change a published deal’s rate or date.
  • Renaming a channel creates a new campaign. Northbeam files spend under the creator’s channel name. If you rename a channel after syncing, the next sync adds a new entry under the new name, and the old entry stays in Northbeam until you remove it there.

Creator Jam sends creator costs to Lifetimely through the Google Sheet you keep for Lifetimely. A small script in the sheet adds the rows.

The Lifetimely Integration card shows these steps and the script you need.

The Lifetimely Integration card before it's set up: its own setup steps, the script to Copy, and the two addresses to paste back.

  1. Open your Lifetimely Google Sheet.

  2. Click Extensions → Apps Script.

  3. Delete any existing code. Copy the script from the Lifetimely Integration card with Copy and paste it in.

  4. Click Deploy → New deployment → Web app.

  5. Set Execute as: Me and Who has access: Anyone.

  6. Click Deploy, then copy the Web App URL.

  7. Share the sheet so anyone with the link can view it. Creator Jam reads the sheet to see which costs are already there.

  8. In Creator Jam, paste the sheet’s address into Google Sheet URL and the Web App URL into Apps Script Web App URL, then click Save Settings.

The card then shows Sheet connected. Use Update Settings to change either address, or Disconnect to remove them.

  1. Open Conversations → Monthly Overview and choose the month and year.

  2. Click Sync to Lifetimely. The preview lists the deals that will be added, with each deal’s Channel, Publish Date and Rate, plus a total.

  3. Click Sync Now.

If every deal is already in the sheet, you’ll see that the month is already synced.

Each published deal with a rate above $0 becomes one row: the publish date in column A and the cost in column B. New rows are inserted at row 3 and push older rows down, so the newest date sits at the top. Rows 1 and 2 are left for your headers. The creator’s name isn’t written to the sheet.

Creator Jam treats a deal as already synced when the sheet has a row with the same date and the same cost, to the dollar. It never edits or removes rows. If you change a deal’s rate or date after syncing, the next sync adds a new row. Delete the old row in the sheet yourself.

As with Northbeam, ad usage licenses aren’t included.
